The Kagu is a ground-dwelling and highly territorial bird endemic to the island of New Caledonia (located between Australia and New Zealand). Thanks to intensified protection, this bird has drawn back slightly from the edge of extinction and now numbers 1,000 in the wild. We feature Deborah Kruger’s expressive drawings of the Kagu on our Blank and spiral notebooks. If you are birder or note taker, you will enjoy having this lovely bird in your hands (and know that you are also contributing to their protection!).
